Orishas Goddess Rollerballs
Each of the Asé natural 13ml rollerball in our new collection is named after a Yoruba Goddess from the Pantheon of Orishas, traditional earth goddesses that have often been replaced or demonised by organised Western Religions.
As West African tradition is held up by Oral histories rather than written, it is important for the wider Diasporic memory to honour and hold up the myths and origin stories of our ancestors.
Our all - natural rollerballs are made up of a Marula oil base, and unique blends of pure organic essential oils that reflect the properties of three of the goddesses, or Orishas. Take some time out of your day to go inward. Inhale, visualise. The fragrances can be layered and mixed and matched throughout the day and come in a package of three.
YEMOJA - Calm: Feeling stressed or overwhelmed? Yemoya will instil a sense of inner peace and serenity. Aptly named after The Goddess of the Oceans, Creativity and Nurturing. Yemoya is the great mother, from which all life comes and ultimately returns. This blend is a fusion of Petitgrain, Frankincense and Ylang Ylang.
OYA - Uplifting: In need of some inner-strength? Turn to Oya, The Goddess of Storms and Wind; the bringer of change and guardian of the space between life and death. This blend is a fusion of Grapefruit, Rosemary and Juniper berry.
OSHUN - Sensual: Want to tune in into your innermost desires? Oshun will ignite your sensuality and zest for life. Influenced by The Goddess of the Sweet Waters, who represents ultimate femininity and rules over matters of love, fertility and success. This blend is a fusion of Orange, Jasmine, Ylang Ylang.
LIHA’S TIP: To help master the art of layering, start off with your favourite scent as a base and mix together different ratios of the other fragrances until you find your favourite combination.
